The Corke Art Gallery, Liverpool’s newest private gallery, will be hosting ten shows in ten weeks during the Independents Biennial.  All 10 exhibitions are free but entry to the ‘‘Outsiders’ In’ show featuring work by Banksy is by ticket only which can be ordered by emailing gallery@corke.net

‘Outsiders’ In (Parts 1 & 2)  Tue 21st – Sat 25th September 2010 (Part 1)  & Tuesday 28th – Saturday 2nd October 2010 (Part 2) Exhibition of work by leading international street artists including Banksy, Brian Donnelly (aka KAWS), Faile, Shepard Fairey, D*Face, Nick Walker, Ernesto Muñiz, Alex Corina and Bestie.   Email gallery@corke.net to order tickets.

Barry Kushner presents a talk ‘Is There An Economic Crisis?’ The Government tried to fool us over WMD, are they doing it again over the debt crisis?  The talk presents the counter arguments to the single 'debt' narrative.   Email gallery@corke.net to reserve place.

Painting Now – Kate Fielding &  Luminosity of Light – Simon A Yorke   Tue 5th – Sat 9th October 2010    Show of large abstract representational oil paintings by Kate Fielding and Simon A Yorke inspired by the direct environment and long held beliefs.

Underdressed and Nude  Tue 12th – Sat 16th October 2010    The nude in all its form, colours and beauty featuring works by Corrie Barclay, Ken Bullock, Peter Cameron, Alex Corina, James Cosgrove, Anna Di Scala, Mariana Whitehorn and Paul Gatenby.

Life in Lino by Mike Hatjoullis   Tue 19th – Saturday 23rd October 2010         
Lino cuts featuring a wide range of subject matter including people, abstracts images and cityscapes.

Landscapes and Views – Past & Present   Tue 26th – Saturday 30th October 2010    
Scenes in and around Liverpool captured in acrylics, oils and watercolours by artists including Joel Bird, Fatima Ballesteros Larrotcha, Mike Hatjoullis and Jon Poutain.

Val and Doug Robinson present a collection of works including portraits, places and abstract images in acrylics and oils.

Exhibition of paintings which reflect the misuse of power within politics, religion and conflict.

Liverpool Undergraduate Students Art Prize

Mixed show of the paintings and art works entered into the 2010 Corke Gallery Undergraduates Art Prize.  The competition is open to all undergraduate students studying in Merseyside.

Liverpool A Level Students Art Prize       
Tue 23nd – Sat 27th November 2010   
Mixed show of the paintings and art works entered into the 2010 Corke Gallery A Level Art Students Art Prize. The prize is open to any A-Level Art Student studying in Merseyside.

Viewings by appointment are welcomed. Disabled access is possible using a ramp for the step. Corke Gallery aims to promote the work of artists from or working in Liverpool/Greater Merseyside and we are always interested in seeing the work of new artists and groups who wish to show and sell their work so please get in touch. The Gallery is situated close to Sefton Park, across the road from the 82c bus stop and on the next block from the Fulwood Arms Pub.
